Robert Lindsay (Me and My Girl, My Family) gives a masterclass in theatrical style in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels the Musical, a caper about two fraudsters, who are both equally determined to outwit each other, as well as anyone unlucky enough to cross their paths.
Joined by Olivier Award nominee Katherine Kingsley (Singin’ In The Rain), Alex Gaumond (Legally Blonde, Matilda) with Bonnie Langford (Chicago) and Gary Wilmot (The Pyjama Game) Dirty Rotten Scoundrels the Musical is a classic tale of decadence and deception on the French Riviera.
Based on the classic comedy film starring Sir Michael Caine and Steve Martin, be transported to the French Riviera and its decadent underworld, as two seasoned swindlers attempt to hoodwink a millionaire heiress. As the pair compete in the true art of the con, they discover there is only room for one of them.

It has been announced that Bonnie Langford (Spamalot) and Gary Wilmot (The Pajama Game) are joining the cast of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Savoy Theatre from Tuesday 16th September.

Jerry Mitchell’s production of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels has extended its booking period at the Savoy Theatre until Saturday 7th March 2015. Robert Lindsay, Rufus Hound and Katherine Kingsley will continue to star as Lawrence Jameson, Freddy Benson and Christine Colgate throughout the new booking period.

With another week comes another major opening in London’s West End. On Wednesday (2nd April 2014) Dirty Rotten Scoundrels officially opens at the Savoy Theatre following three weeks of previews and two out-of-town tryouts.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is based on the legendary 1988 film which famously starred Michael Caine and Steve Martin and was directed by Frank Oz. The musical opened on Broadway in 2005 and ran for just under two years. The West End premiere stars Robert Lindsay, Rufus Hound, Katherine Kingsley, Samantha Bond and John Marquez.

Theatreland almost exploded when it was announced that Robert Lindsay and Rufus Hound would star in the West End premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The production, which begins previews at the Savoy Theatre on Monday 10th March, is currently having a Broadway style out-of-town tryout in Manchester where it has already received rave reviews.
